Join us for a discussion about "Little Bets"
This past year, HTP meetings have included speakers on a variety of topics primarily how to jump start our businesses. We've explored social media and new ways for us to craft and convey our message to our customers/clients. We've also acknowledged the "noise factor" and the sense of overwhelm from all of these opportunities and the challenge of knowing or not knowing what to do. Many of us have tinkered with our businesses, trying to sustain growth, or slow decline or to morph into something new. All of this being challenging during good times and very difficult, perhaps seemingly impossible, in bad economic times.
The theme of Monday's meeting starts with making Little Bets to develop new possibilities for our businesses. ("little bets" are low risk efforts to test an idea without spending a lot of time, money, resource; where failure is OK because the risk is low and the reward can be a valuable lesson. Where you can "fail early to succeed fast".)
We will share some experiences that some of us have had in trying to create positive changes through making "little bets" and follow up with a group discussion of the results when anyone may share what you are doing with your own little bets.
There won't be a sales pitch, we're not going to ask you to be a part of a promotion. We have a story to tell about the potential of collaboration; how its possible to bring more resources to our indie businesses through collaboration and access to other resources through a community network, and the possibility of working together to get some new ideas tested.
