In recent meetings we have been discussing ideas for increasing our members' revenue through referrals and growing the buy-local movement by leveraging our "Hometown Advantage", i.e. our authentic relationships with our community.
Our businesses are relationship-based; and we all have to "give to get". By sharing our customers through referrals we can increase each other's revenue and grow the buy-local movement.
So we have a special presentation planned for our April 9th meeting. HTP members, Nick Sharma of Willows Market in Menlo Park and Tom Haid of Tom's Outdoor Furniture in Redwood City will give "Table Top" style presentations to introduce themselves and their businesses. The objective of this forum is to get to better know the people and the businesses of HTP, so we all can feel more comfortable referring our customers and contacts to other member businesses.
As our local business owners better know each other, and the unique qualities of our businesses, we can more effectively share and expand our customer-base, which can help us all increase sales and revenue.
If this forum is as valuable as we anticipate, our intent is to extend the same opportunity to all HTP members over time.
Please come to this meeting on April 9th and come thirsty, with one of the best bottled beer selections in the Bay Area, Nick will be providing a beer tasting.
